Hello! As your child's teacher, I'm looking forward to working with you and your child toward making this year fun, productive, and a happy one for all of us. Students will be encouraged to try lots of new things with a positive attitude and I am expecting many great things from them. Working together we can accomplish this. It's going to be an exciting year.
Sometimes parents like to know a little bit about their child's teacher. My name is Jennifer Wyatt. I graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Education where my emphasis was on Early Childhood Education. The focus of my coursework was on the education of children preschool through third grade. This will be my second year here at Las Brisas. I taught second grade at Diamond Canyon School in Anthem prior to coming to Las Brisas. I really enjoyed being closer to home last year and feel privileged to be a part of a fabulous staff at such an amazing school. I will be celebrating my 16th wedding anniversary this fall with my husband Robert. We have two boys, Colby age 11 and Chase age 6. They will be attending Las Brisas this fall. In our spare time we love to watch sporting events, although most of our time is spent watching our sons playing their favorite sports. I am a huge Denver Broncos fan as your children will discover this fall during football season!
Our classroom has many things that help make your child's learning fun and exciting. We have a classroom library with books for every child's interest. This year we will be doing lots of writing and you will see much growth in your child's writing. We will explore the world of science through many discovery and hands on activities. Second grade is going to be great!
